Subscription Services

The owner of this Website respects the privacy of readers and provides the Website for entertainment purposes only and for the personal, non-commercial use of its readers. Readers are welcome to subscribe to the Website via Mailchimp. Mailchimp as well as other related services that allow access to the Website are subject to privacy and data collection privacy policies that may differ from this privacy policy. You are responsible for reading, understanding and accepting such policies. Both use an opt-in sign-up process so in order to receive either of those you will need to enter a valid e-mail address, then confirm it via a subsequent e-mail message.

To be removed from the Mailchimp subscriptions, follow the unsubscribe instructions at the bottom of each e-mail message or other instructions that Mailchimp or related services may provide.

Cookies and Google Analytics

Like many websites, we use standard “counting” software like Google Analytics to count visitors to this site. The information in the log files includes your IP address, your ISP (internet service provider, such as AOL or Comcast), the browser you used to visit our site (such as Internet Explorer or Firefox), the time you visited our site and which pages you visited throughout our site. The software will attempt to place a “cookie” on your computer so it knows if you are a return visitor or a new visitor. If you do not wish to accept cookies, you can block them using your browser or other software.

Google Analytics collects your location via an anonymized version of your IP address and holds this information for a limited time; the data is deleted by Google Analytics after 14 months. The sole purpose of the collected data is to track our performance. The data collected is not being used for user profiling, advertising or any other commercial purpose. You may install a Google Analytics Opt-Out Browser Button here. The Google Analytics Privacy Policy can be read here.

If you disable cookies, some features will be disabled and some of our services will not function properly.

Google Adsense, Amazon.com and iTunes

We use Google Adsense, Amazon and iTunes to display advertising, and these sites may also collect information or place cookies on your computer. You can learn more about the privacy policy of these companies on their respective sites and how they use cookies, or choose to opt out here. Again, you can also choose to block cookies or other tracking using your web browser or other software.

Gravatar

If you use a Gravatar (“globally recognized avatar”), your email address is shared with the Gravatar service when you comment. You can find the Gravatar privacy policy here.
